Wow, PR friends. I really feel for you. You spent countless hours last week putting together every minute of XYZ celeb’s Oscar’s eyelid skincare routine in the hopes that press and social media would eat up every dermal barrier-crossing lipid tidbit… and then Will Smith. Mr. Independence Day himself didn’t even realize he was singlehandedly (seriously, he only used the one hand) taking down an entire Oscars glam industry—but he did it. Anyway, pouring a kombucha out for all my beauty/fashion PR friends today. May you only know more mundane awards shows. Unless you rep an anti-swelling product and got it in Mr. Rock’s hands.
What I’m working on now:
Family Handyman: Anyone out there a cleaning expert who can comment on vacuums? I cant use anyone from a brand, but a cleaning service or independent cleaning expert would work fabulously! Super tight turnaround. Can send ?’s like now for 4 pm eastern or earlier turnaround. Easy peasy stuff. bryce@theluxuryspot.com
Taste of Home: Still need more pitches for must-shop organizing gear at Wayfair! bryce@theluxuryspot.com
Reader’s Digest: Still working on our outdoor oasis story + looking specifically for outdoor living and entertaining gear on Wayfar.com under $400. I appreciate all the pitches I got for $7K chaise lounges, but realistically people like their impulse patio design purchases on the more affordable side :) bryce@theluxuryspot.com

Hooray! Did you make it in one of my big spring gift guides? I hope so! This is a gentle-but-important reminder that asking your clients for social shares with tags to the mag + me go A LONG WAY! Will explain that in a future email. but let’s say for example your client is in today’s wedding gifts story, we’d love social shares from your brand with @readersdigest + @brycegruber tags <3
Believe I shared this one last week, but wanted to let you know my Taste of Home guide to under-the-sink organizers got a dedicated email blast to our subscribers + these products are now flying off shelves :) I hope you are set up for rev-sharing with your clients!
Jobs:
CUPSHE needs a new PR manager. LA-based but they’re open to remote. Just in time for summer!
The Pioneer Woman is hiring a senior editor (wow, I love best-coffee-mugs content so let’s be BFFs and talk about it nonstop after you get this gig). You get Hearst benefits, so don’t worry about surviving on a heartland prayer and some sour cream muffins (although yay for both—fully endorse).
Musings:
Told my kids to join the neighborhood pet walking club this weekend. It’s mostly older women but they’re all sort of fascinating retired art professors and former musicians and whatnot. Very cool people, and thought it would be mind-expanding for my youngins. Anywho, my words were “Take a pet and go for a walk with the ladies.” And so three out of five did exactly that. The pet they choose to take was not one of our dogs though. May this image sit in your heart the rest of the day.
The crypto market is up, and that’s super exciting, and my story on local Texas retailers accepting various coins should hit later this week. Thanks to those who pitched in!
I’m not ready yet, but Father’s Day content is coming up soon enough for me. Start preparing :)
Till tomorrow, friends! Have the best and most productive day!
I LUV that Ben is thinking out of the box and i am sure the chickie enjoyed the change of scenery!
