Well that was a refreshing break. I know I still worked for a portion of it, but the reduced load and extra hot chocolate made it pleasant. Plus, I mean, new season of Cobra Kai (which isn’t really my fave one yet, am I alone in that?). Okay, let’s move quickly into some personal news, housekeeping, work things, etc because everyone is scrambling to catch up on overloaded inboxes and massive 2022 to-do lists.
Some news of my own:
First, if you didn’t read the Substack newsletter I sent last week, please do. It’s loaded with gems, jobs, affiliate insights, and inside tips that I might not normally share because sorting through the raw data is a whole giant task. If you did read it, I hope you got something out of it.
If you did find the affiliate info, data, and insights useful: YAY! That’s exactly the kinda stuff that will go into my paid subscription newsletter. To be honest, I never wanted to charge for newsletters at all, but compiling the data and sifting through questions genuinely is a second job for me at this point so I’m asking for the bare minimum to access to my dashboard insights and unraveling what it all means. Access to those weekly emails loaded with good-for-you stats will be offered at just $4/month or a bit under $40 for the year if you decide to sign up before January 15 (you’ll want to click that link to access the reduced price). After that, it’ll be about $5 per month. So basically, if you feel like my insights and information are worth a cuppa coffee each month, they’re yours (and in expanded form). I will also welcome specific, pointed affiliate questions each week and will answer them in the paid newsletter. Most job listings will still be in free emails because I really just want everyone to thrive. So do me a favor and thrive, will ya?
But seriously, this free newsletter option lives on and will continue to, so keep sending over those job listings. Media queries, published links, jobs, and other tidbits are public access.
Have I ever shared how much I love Antiques Roadshow on PBS? I really do. And the producers there got wind of the denture tablet cleaning hack I shared a few newsletters ago and have been tweeting about it. I genuinely don’t care what happens from here on out, I feel like I made a difference in the laundry that matters. Holler if you’re also a fan of the show so we can discuss 17th century pottery relics found in the garages of guys named Phil from Iowa.
Some media queries (let’s get you some press!):
Reader’s Digest: Rounding up the best business casual fashion pieces for women + want your pitches. We love budget-friendly wardrobe staples when it comes to fashion stories, so think under $300 for the most part (readers eat this stuff up and shop like wild when they see items within reach!). Must be affiliate-friendly (major .com retailers are best, but skimlinks-ready DTC works too). Deadline to pitch is EOD Wednesday. bryce@theluxuryspot.com
Reader’s Digest: Last call for Etsy gifts! Would love a few more pitches for kitchen, organizational, beauty, and wellness gift categories for this story. Must sell on Etsy + MUST have positive ratings. Pitch me by EOD today. bryce@theluxuryspot.com
Reader’s Digest: Best mops for every type of floor. Pitch me affiliate-friendly (Amazon, Walmart, Target, Bed Bath & Beyond, etc) links and some info on why your mop is a total game-changer. Need pitches by EOW, and yes, we have to try ‘em out! bryce@theluxuryspot.com
Taste of Home: The best bathroom organizing accessories that help you clean up your life. Think shelf organizers, under-sink storage, toilet paper roll holding compartments, etc. You get the idea, but we definitely need this one to be affiliate-ready so think Amazon, Walmart, Wayfair, etc. Pitch by EOD tomorrow at the latest! bryce@theluxuryspot.com

I didn’t get to share this last week, but some of these after-Christmas sales are still fresh. Lots of newsletter subscribers had their clients mentioned in this one, so hopefully it still counts for your 4th quarter reporting <3
All the bookcases and bookshelves for small spaces your giant heart could ever desire.
Small bedroom storage ideas because clutter is fakakta.
Leather Honey is totally on the money.
If you feel like this newsletter has been helpful to you, I’d love it if you spread the word to colleagues. Doing my best to reach a goal of 3,500 media industry subscribers to roughly match the breadth of my Facebook group, Sharing Opps. Why? Because that means I can help fill and source content better and faster, and offer more jobs. I’m a bit beyond halfway there now!
Till tomorrow, friends!
omg that picture is precious!!! ❤️
You are not alone on Cobra Kai ... it's soooo corny this season and the dialogue/conflicts are really getting stale. We are 4 episodes in and ready to bail.
