Getting right into today becuase I have SO much content on my plate. Before I do, I wanted to share something kinda cool. I got THE BEST press trip pitch I’ve seen in ages, and thought you should know about it.
The agency sent me a bulleted list of their properties, proposed press trip dates through most of 2023 + noted whether individual trips would be available as well. Better yet, they added notes to the comments section about which properties would fit my existing content roundup and cals (ie ‘This destination is one of the most-booked for families with young kids’ and ‘This hotel was ranked the best babymoon spot in North America by…’).
Better yet, they also outlined which properties work with major booking sites and/or affiliates, as well as really interesting feature ideas. I’m sure the agency poured tons of energy into the pitch, but sheesh—what a success!
Okay, onto the stories, published pieces, jobs and other gems. <3
Need pitches:
Today’s Parent: Best bike helmets for toddlers/little kids. Ideally on Amazon, but open to other skimlinks-ready retailers as well. Tight turnaround! bryce@theluxuryspot.com
Today’s Parent: Best probiotic supplements for those trying to conceive, pregnancy + after baby. Amazon or Skimlinks-ready retailers, please! Also open to dr. commentary on this one. bryce@theluxuryspot.com
Today’s Parent: Using bakuchiol during pregs—safe? Need a derm to weigh in! Also need suggestions for safe-for-pregs skincare alternatives (products must be affiliate-ready). bryce@theluxuryspot.com
NewsBreak: Highlighting must-see things and events across New York State now through end of March. Pitch me, but must genuinely be really cool/interesting. Adding waffles to a restaurant menu isn’t newsworthy. A giant 400’ statue of a man eating waffles placed next to the entrance to Central Park? I’m into it. Or a resort that offers spa services for you and your dog side by side. Or a secret hiking spot that was ranked among the best in the world, etc. bryce@theluxuryspot.com
Today’s Parent: Have a *bestselling Amazon product* that appeals to people of child-having age? I want to know about it for a feature piece like this one. Especially if the item is on sale! The caveat? Your brand must be GREAT about social media shares + promotion of the piece. We’re open to everything from fashion staples for parents, kitchen gear, baby essentials, kid stuff and more. Audience is primarily American-facing parents in their 20s, 30s and 40s. bryce@theluxuryspot.com

Musings:
Some things to keep in mind for pitches: We’re starting Mother’s Day content now and in the next week or two. I’m personally not ready for additional pitches yet (next week!), but know that most ed teams are getting ready and you should be too. Want to stay a step ahead? Start dreaming up your Father’s Day pitches by the first half of March.

Serious question, and don’t laugh—I feel like I need a good cowboy hat. Now, it may surprise you to learn that I don’t know a damn thing about cowboy hats, but that’s the case. Can someone educate me + point me to their fave hats? Dead surrious.
Also, this made me laugh.
