Keeping today short and sweet because I’m on the road for part of tomorrow and want to get these stories off my plate ASAP (but also because the year is basically over in 5 minutes).
Also, in good news, I’m going to get that SEO class going for everyone by next month. I think we’ll make it an interactive video call so questions can be asked/demos can happen. November is just too wild and crazy for everyone on both the sides of the media fence!
Working on now/need pitches:
Reader’s Digest: The dreamiest + best tufted headboards that ship directly to your door. Open to all the major .com retailers + DTC affiliate sites. Amazon listings need at least 500+ ratings, but I can be more lenient with other retailers <3 …we love things that are well-made, well-reviewed, stylish and easy to care for. bryce@theluxuryspot.com
Family Handyman: The best outdoor fire pit accessories pitches are needed! Hit me with all your affiliate-ready fire pit tools. We love lowes.com, wayfair, etc — if you’re pitching Amazon, needs to have at least 500+ ratings. bryce@theluxuryspot.com
Reader’s Digest: Back on fashion/beauty pieces by mid-week, stay tuned and ready your style content ideas!
Extra Good: Launching in a matter of hours, and per popular request, I’m rounding up the best Black Friday sales/deals for people in the New York area. Maybe it’s New York-specific bagels on sale via Amazon (no 500 ratings necessary because this is my newsletter project!)? Or a chain of dry cleaners around the city offering clean-one-get-one deals for locals? Whatever. My only request is that the deal be legit mega good (like 30% off or more), appealing to New York area folks + that you/the client will share on social because growing Extra Good is important to me <3 bryce@theluxuryspot.com

Musings:
Wading through EOY content and holiday wrap-ups now. Chatted with a few pals at other major publishers yesterday afternoon during one of our occasional mountain meetups (you’d be shocked at how many editors live in the Woodstock area now OMG), and realized we’re all operating on similar timelines. The vast majority of gift guides are DONE. We’re editing/piecing together a few last minute and urgent trend stories, but really… most of us have moved on to early January and beyond. Something to consider with your pitches! Btw, our little coven includes Dow Jones, Hearst, Conde + offshoots of the errr *hedge fund* that owns some of your fave home-focused titles. Come up and visit!
That said, I know I am a broken record with this… but evergreen content! Pitch it! We love it! Everyone does!
Remember how I said that review content stuff would go wild starting EOY and Q1 23? It’s here. It’s upon us. The floodgates have opened! Keep that in mind as you pitch <3
That’s it for today. Short and sweet, as promised. Off to a wee lil’ medical procedure for my daughters (ugh, both). I’ll do my best to reply tonight and early tomorrow so I can bang these stories out!
Thanks so much Bryce and wishing your daughters a speedy recovery! XO
