I mean, it’s fun if I’m working from home in sweatpants and I’m nice and dry before heading to my kid’s soccer game — right? Right. Hopping to everything quickly so we all have time to get our lives together and work done!
What I’m working on right now:
RD.com: Every Black Friday Sale everrrrr (that’s affiliate-friendly, anyway). If your client is running epic BFCM sales and either sold via major retailer or has a website hooked up to skimlinks, LET ME KNOW! Open to all sorts of items ranging from health and beauty to mattresses, furniture, tech gear, kid things, etc. Hit me up THIS WEEK. If you pitch next week, it’s too late. Forward this to your clients so they believe you when you tell them to hurry it up. This will syndicate widely, so missing this boat is sort of missing an entire armada. bryce@theluxuryspot.com
Family Handyman: Best heated outdoor blankets. You know the drill, hit me with affiliate links and top-rated items. If you rep a heated outdoor blanket, I hope you’re using it right now because it’s bonkers-level chilly for mid-October. Need by EOD. bryce@theluxuryspot.com
Published over the weekend:
ThirdLove launched new sports bras and leggings and they’re worth it! For Reader’s Digest
Washi tape is errthang, friends. For Taste of Home
Put these giant glowing reindeer in your yard. An article that taught your Jewish friend a lot for Family Handyman
Job listings:
Powerhouse is looking for a FT account manager to support their ever-growing PR team. This listing came from Kathryn Kelly, and details can be found here.
Senion Account Exec needed for the JConnelly PR team in the food and bev sectors. The job is “In their NYC, NJ and Chicago offices, or remotely in Denver. The person in this role will work with three to five clients and be responsible for providing a variety of essential support to the consumer/food & beverage team members including but not limited to managing administrative account duties, media monitoring, analyzing and reporting clients’ performance in the marketplace, research and list building for pitches, associated client-related communications initiatives and projects. You can apply directly here, or email Emily Johnston at ejohnston@jconnelly.com for more information.”
I get emails at least a few times a week asking to post job listing details, and I’m HAPPY to do it. So far this newsletter doesn’t feel like an extra gig to me, so I don’t ask for anything tangible in return. I will ask this though: if you feel like you’ve gained in some way from the job listings or queries, pass some good karma on and do something (anything) nice for someone else. Hold a door, don’t be the honking schmuck on the highway (if you’re driving a late model silver Highlander in the Hudson Valley, I’m looking at you), buy someone a cuppa tea, tell your kid’s teacher how pretty they look today (in a non-creepy way), etc.
K. That’s it! Till tomorrow when I’m back with oodles more. I’ll leave you with this picture of my dogs cuddling in the driveway yesterday:
