Not everyone is in our beloved, trusted Facebook Sharing Opps group (or even on Facebook). That’s okay! The group is meant for experienced media members and a handful of publicists with great reputations for helping the media community conquer the oodles of words we’re expected to put forth each day.
If you are in the group, I’m excited to connect with you again here, perhaps more frequently or closely. If you’re not in the group, you’ll be able to subscribe to these fairly frequent briefings as a sort of look in the window, opportunity to pitch stories and segments I’m working on, and access to a handful of stand-out queries from other writers/producers coming through the group’s active chatter.
Things I promise:
I won’t be spamming you with several-times-a-day newsletters (who has time for that?!)
Sharing Opps is incredibly active, so only a small portion of what happens in the group will be mentioned here. Private and sensitive things won’t be shared.
There’s a casual, informal feel here. This isn’t meant to be deeply editorial. Imagine the lovechild of a 2010 blog with a 2021 Instagram story.
Things that are possible in future newsletters:
We may have guest posts and content from time to time within this newsletter. Hit me up if you think you have something to add.
Media, PR, and marketing professionals are welcome to email me with their job postings to go out in future messages. After all, we’re sharing opps— aren’t we?
If this newsletter becomes incredibly time-consuming (and it may), the format may change a bit. But overall, I’ve spent the last few years growing our loving network with the intention of collecting experienced (and helpful, creative, and lovely) media community members in the spirit of helping each other thrive.
K. That’s all for now. See you in the next day or so for round two!
