It turns out ski mountains in New York (ahem, like the one I live on) aren’t well-equipped for hurricanes or tropical storms, so there’s a chance I’ll be without power for part of tomorrow. Boo, right? I mean, maybe it won’t be a problem at all (sprinkling fairy dust on my hopes of everlasting WiFi), but just in case I’m getting these queries out tonight.
So, thank you for being a friend (imagine me saying that in a Golden Girls sing-songy way).
For RD.com/Readers Digest: Finishing this roundup of the best womens jeans for every body type. We’re all set with commentary (thanks, Amanda!), but could probably use a few more product inclusions. Must be from a major retailer or a skimlinks-ready smaller site. bryce@theluxuryspot.com
Taste of Home: I have an ongoing weekly column featuring some of the best under-the-radar cleaning and cooking products on Amazon. So, yes, must be on Amazon. It also needs to be a shopper favorite or bestseller with 500+ positive reviews. Sooo maybe the world’s most beloved pizza cutter? Instant hot water maker? Affordable panini press? Or some type of foil that makes food prep like 4,000x easier? A stain remover that can get even mom’s tomato sauce out of a white shirt? Hit me with your pitches! Ideally affordable items. Even if your pitch isn’t a fit for this week, it may be next week or the following. bryce@theluxuryspot.com
Taste of Home + Family Handyman: I’m reviewing some of the best/brightest new launches out there, so hit me with those pitches. Home improvement, decor, style, things that make sense seasonally (ie “This Rake Makes Yard Cleanup Easier Than Ever” or “GAP is Selling Bedding at Walmart Now & OMG”). If it’s home decor, kitchen, or better lifestyle-related and appeals to a mass audience, I want to know about it. So do our readers. Here’s an example of one I covered a couple of days ago about the Jonathan Adler x Ruggable launch. bryce@theluxuryspot.com
HGTV Magazine: This one comes to us from my gal pal Ellen Seidman. “Looking for design influencers, designers, crafters, entertaining experts and foodies with personal stories to tell about funny holiday traditions. We’re only considering stories that are LOLs-y— e.g. an ugly stocking family challenge.” ESeidman@hearst.com
Okay, I think that’s it for now, and here’s a picture of my backyard early this morning before the storm hit. May you all be dry and high and knee-deep in Netflix.
Bryce--where are you? Berkshires, NH or VT? Hope you weathered the hurricane safely! We thankfully got very little disruption in Essex County MA
