It’s late in the day here in New York and I’m just getting this out because I spent the day writing, editing… and snuggling. Holy moly, do I have news. And I’ll share more details in tomorrow’s Extra Good newsletter, but here’s a taste:
I HAVE PUPPIES! LIL’ TEENY TINY AUSSIEDOODLES OMGOMGOMGOMG.
K. Let’s get to work stuff now, but I mean, know that I’m overflowing with happiness and excitement.
Need pitches:
Reminder, brands that are good about social shares on positive press = the best and really get my attention.
Today’s Parent: Still rounding up the best indoor water parks for families across the US and Canada. Hit me! bryce@theluxuryspot.com
Today’s Parent: Best maternity fashion brands. Would love to focus on serving lots of needs—all sorts of sizes and budgets. Inclusive options make the world go round, ya know? Must be skimlinks-ready (or Amazon). bryce@theluxuryspot.com
Today’s Parent: The subscription-style gifts for moms (yes, skimlinks!). bryce@theluxuryspot.com
NewsBreak: Finished those botox stories, thanks! Now I’m onto day trips in the NYC area that are ideal for either groups of friends or families. Looking for genuinely clicky edit angles—not just “we have a pool” but like, “we have a pool with a swim-up nachos bar and have the pics to prove it.” bryce@theluxuryspot.com
Today’s Parent: SO MUCH MATTRESS CONTENT. Seriously, hit me with all your bed-related pitches. Strong preference for things that relate to pregnancy, babies, kids and the kid-having stages of life. Open to your ideas and pitches though. Must be Skimlinks-ready or on Amazon with at least 150+ ratings. bryce@theluxuryspot.com
Also, anyone have an Amazon rep they can put me in touch with? Would owe you one <3

Jobs:
Have a lot to list, but going to put them in next week’s newsletter! Stay tuned!
Affiliate thoughts:
Like I mentioned earlier, combining the queries and the paid affiliate tribe newsletters for this week because I was writing a ton and thrown into dog doula life, ya know. Also yeah, I’m a dog doula.
Let’s talk about cookies first, shall we?
Several newsletters ago (fall of ‘22, actually), I talked about the end of cookies. For those of you less familiar with how affiliate sales data is tracked—it’s via cookies.
The internet defines cookies as, “text files with small pieces of data — like a username and password — that are used to identify your computer as you use a computer network.”
But really, think of cookies trackers you don’t notice. So let’s say you click on an Amazon link from a major magazine. You’re assigned a “cookie” that you’ll never notice which means Amazon stores proof for a period of time that you came to them via some specific mag.
Now, publishers love these (except amazon, actually). Most Skimlinks-ready retailers offer a 30-day cookie. That means if you click on a pair of shoes in some guide to the “best shoes for spring” and it takes you to happyshoes.net, any purchase you make there for an entire month will be attributed to the mag and they’ll get a commission.
