Happy Monday! I hope the sun is shining and the birds are chirping anywhere you may be :) Lots to get to today, but first wanted to let you know that several of you asked for the Amazon version of my Trending on Skimlinks data. Because these numbers are updated far more frequently, I’ll be tweeting them out 3 to 4 times a week in short form (no fluff, just the links) with the tag #affiliatetribe from @brycegruber so you can easily keep track.
I’ll also leave the Trending on Amazon info pinned to the top of my Substack page for this week so it’s easy to access. If you’d like me to offer some explanations of the data I pulled, just leave questions in the comments section here. You can see Thursday through the weekend was filled with warm weather-driven purchases for women’s items under a certain price point.
Onto regularly-scheduled work, shall we?
Need pitches:
Taste of Home: A roundup of the top-rated (and tested!) produce keepers on Amazon. Pitch me your game-changing garlic keepers, onion storage devices, the funny gadgets that prevent salads from wilting, etc. bryce@theluxuryspot.com
Taste of Home: Last-minute MDW sales round up — this time just for kitchen and home items! Pitch me your best MDW sales info for kitchen appliances, tabletop, furniture, home decor, outdoor entertaining, etc! Need these by Wednesday, and yes, must be affiliate-friendly retailers. bryce@theluxuryspot.com
Jobs:
House Beautiful needs an assistant editor. Lots of commerce writing!
Food & Wine also needs an assistant editor (and rumor has it you’ll be working across several Dotdash titles)
Musings:
Lots of home decor/furnishing content coming up this week. Stay tuned. Just need to get through some food-focused pieces first!
June is also typically marked by lots of personal style + beauty content for digital editors (think shoes, shorts, shampoo, spf-loaded face creams, and tints). Start readying those pitches too! I’ll get working on a batch of those stories before MDW.
My chickens have started allowing my kids to photograph them closely. Pretty exciting to own poultry models.
Also, one of the best mailers of last week? This homemade granola-making kit from Kristen Wanket filled with some of my fave dried fruits. *snacking as I write this*
Okay, that’s it for now! Till tomorrow <3
Your chickens are so gorgeous! I didn't even know they could be so beautiful. My mom had a pet chicken growing up and she would tell me how smart it was. That's why my mom is a vegetarian and now I can see why.
