Every single year we prepare for Q4’s holiday shopping bonanza months before… but then. Well, October and November creep up. And somehow we’re still scrambling to get all the content done. So here I am.
Keeping today’s email short and sweet. If we’re close friends, you probably already know it’s been a bonkers October for Casa Gruber-Hermon. I also want to take a minute to remind everyone that there are lots of loud, screamy voices on the Internet doing their best to tell you who are you, who you deserve to be or don’t deserve to be and what’s in store for you.
Whoever you are, anywhere you may be, I hope you only listen to your own inner monologue. I hope you’re proud to be who you are. I hope you walk with your head high and without fear.
And if you’re not sure how to do that or it feels too hard, just do nice things for other people. I believe this universe rewards those who do good things for others with strength for themselves. And know that I’m rooting for your happiness and safety.
Anywho, back to work. It’s therapeutic, eh? (I threw that eh in there as a loving nod to my Canadian employers).
Working on now:
Also posted these to Sharing Opps on Facebook. If you’re a mid-level or higher publicist or experienced writer, feel free to join.

For the Affiliate Tribe:
Lots of big topics to discuss! First, lets go into granularity. I know we discussed this as this year’s biggest commerce writing/editorial trend, but I want to dig even deeper. You already know that staff editors are no longer caring about (or assigning out!) whimsical ideas. Almost everything is data-driven now.
I’m pretty excited to see our industry getting smart and delivering content people actually want vs. content that excites only edit staff and PR teams. Is this good or bad? Well, for readers, I think it’s great.
