I know, I know. It’s late in the day but wow — just finished about 30,000 words and am FINALLY coming up for air. Lots of things to share with you, and super excited for my lunch and learn sessions with Chewy and a handful of friendly, familiar PR names this week!
Working on now:
Reader’s Digest: All the best life-changing things you can buy on Amazon. Before you pitch, know that we need products with LOTS of great reviews (like, at least 500) and a 4-stars or better rating. Maybe your client’s bestselling shears? A lip balm with 50,000 reviews? Cleaning product or anti-frizz cream that has a gazillion positive reviews? Pitch, please!!! bryce@theluxuryspot.com
Reader’s Digest: All the best Father’s Day sales + deals for this year. Pitch me all your skimlinks-ready and major retailer sales in honor of Father’s Day, but know that RD prefers to keep things PG-13. That means the person who keeps pitching me caffeinated lube for Father’s Day isn’t going to need to send an email for this one. Love you, but so sorry. bryce@theluxuryspot.com

I rated the best car accessories and cleaners on the market for Family Handyman, also my dash is so sparkly right now.
Also, I tried these bestselling microfiber cloths. They have silk edges that made me feel 1% fancier as I got the gunk off my soccer mom-mobile.
These are the best car vacuums on the market. Also, can you tell we had a biz auto-focus at TMB for a minute? Late April/early May are the biggest cleaning weeks of the year.
Our big Taste of Home guide to shopping at Wayfair just hit! Lots of your clients are in there. Holler at anyone buying that toilet paper thingamabobber.
Jobs:
Citi is hiring a community relations manager (ie PR, and fingers crossed for you about the working bank hours thing)
Musings:
I know sometimes you need tangible proof of what you already know to pass on to clients. So let this be your opportunity to use the share button or take a screenshot: post-event wrap-ups never, ever need to be sent as press releases. In fact, I’m going to out out on a limb and say post-event wrap-ups don’t really need to exist in general. The last email I will ever respond to (or any of my friends/colleagues, for that matter) is one that has a subject line like “XYZ Celeb Attended the Launch of Nail Salon.” Save your time, save the billable hours, and save client expectations. That stuff may have worked back in 2012, but in a SEO-driven world of performance content, I assure you — few outlets have space for that content, and the ones that do aren’t going to make it long term. Readers don’t care, they don’t continue to browse, and genuinely it does nothing positive for the client’s bottom line. Celeb content still definitely has a place. Just not in the post-event wraps space. I know YOU know this already, but it seems like a lot of clients push for it and OMG they need to not.
Wolf update: Beverly, the former wolf-owning neighbor I love so much, chatted with me for a bit earlier this week. I pressed for more details. The wolf was named “Princess” (not kidding) and occasionally wore a Tiara.
Fuller list of Trending on Skimlinks data coming tomorrow in my Affiliate Tribe-only email, but so far I have one really interesting segment sitting in front of me. Travel-related products! Take that as this week’s glorious not-so-subtle hint and check out what’s trending below.
If you’re new here, please refer to previous emails where I explain the value of why these Trending on Skimlinks data points are so valuable!

That’s it for now! Lots more tomorrow, bubbeleh!
Love the Wolf story :) Would you ever be comfortable providing a perfect pitch, with a focus on the affiliate program and why it a no-brainer (e.g. higher affiliate links than competitors, etc.). It could have the name of the company blocked out.
Would love to see what Chewy had to say! I feel like their affiliate program is tricky -- hard to embed in articles.
Omg your trees are GORGEOUS!!
