There’s a chance you already know some of these, but I’m better they’re not all on your radar, so let’s talk about some editor faves to help you focus your pitches.
Amazon: For those of you who are new-ish here, I want to break down why Amazon is a top retailer for you again. Amazon has one of the best customer funnels in the world, and if a magazine can send audiences there—there’s typically about a 10% chance a purchase is happening. Those purchases include commissions on entire baskets. Click on a pair of shoes? Cool. The publisher actually gets a commission on everything you buy in that session including the matching socks, the eye cream you didn’t realize you needed a refill of and the extra jumbo box of dog treats you added on a whim.
