Stories, jobs + some goodness
Happy Wednesday, friends. Keeping today’s email short and sweet because we have just a few days left before the publishing world shuts down for the holidays. Yay!
Also: an important reminder that Chanukah donut season is officially upon us. The more you eat, the more points you get. That’s a spiritual fact. I went with the whipped vanilla custard on the left, thanks for asking.
Stories I need pitches for (all quick turnarounds):
Reader’s Digest: Best freezers for all sorts of kitchens. Just like my best refrigerators piece, but extra frosty (and btw, the fridge piece KILLS it so this’ll be a real highlight!). We love Lowes, Wayfair, Amazon, etc links—but yes, they’ve all gotta be affiliate/SL-ready. When you pitch, please call out points that make yours the best. Does it sell way more than all the other models on the market? Best tech? Saves the most electricity? Budget-friendly? bryce@theluxuryspot.com
Reader’s Digest: Best fridge-cleaning products. I’m doubling down on kitchen content for Jan, as you can see. I’d prefer to point most options to Amazon, but open to all Skimlinks-ready retailers like Walmart, Wayfair etc. Yes, will have to give ‘em a whirl because this definitive best-of piece will be distributed far and wide. All Amazon products need at least 500+ ratings. bryce@theluxuryspot.com
Extra Good: Working on a guide to the best instant coffees because they’re popular again and people deserve to have what they want. Prefer Amazon/Skimlinks-ready. Bonus points if there are decaf offerings. bryce@theluxuryspot.com
NewsBreak: Okay, finally gettin’ to the Florida content! Must-see things to do/experience in Palm Beach and Broward Counties over the holiday break (Dec 23 through Jan 2). I like a family-friendly spin if poss. bryce@theluxuryspot.com
Extra Good: Have a few more spots for gifts under $300 (men, women, kids, pets—you name it). Must be affiliate-ready and good about social shares. The guide is already doing well, these are just my way of supporting you and your EOY quotas <3 bryce@theluxuryspot.com

This gifts for coworkers piece has been a hit!
Annnd gifts for grandparents.
Loads of goodies (and your clients) in the last Extra Good newsletter. Next one goes out Friday AM if you’re not already signed up (and feel free to pitch for that!).
Oh, and gifts for couples.
+ I reviewed Wooden Spoon Herbs because sheesh, the blue stuff is *chef’s kiss* ah-mahz.
Jobs:
Vizio needs a Sr. PR manager. New York-based, salary around $150k.
Cartier needs a PR manager. Salary around $100k. Expect to sparkle.
Columbia Bank needs a PR manager. On-site in Jersey (meh), but friend—the pizza nearby is as good as it gets.
Field & Stream needs an updates editor. This is commerce-driven and pretty outdoorsy, so be about that life. Work remote. Rumor has it this gig is ~75k/annual.
Musings:
Can I tell you something that makes me SUPER happy? K, good. I’m going to. By about dinnertime last night I heard that this newsletter and our Sharing Opps Facebook group managed to place five (5!!!) people in new jobs in just two days. I am nearly peeing on myself with happiness. I hope you are too. As a reminder, all the job connection stuff is totally free. It’s just for the sake of a thriving, happy and healthy community. If you’re one of the people who has been served by the job listings here, imagine me sending you a hug. I am—and I’m thrilled for you! If you have a job listing you want me to post, I only ask that you give this newsletter first crack at it.
A reminder that most publishers are well beyond holiday guides at this point. Start pouring energy into January, Feb and March content. I mean, I’m already looking at what I expect to perform well in April and May. Most teams are in the same/similar boats.
This meme made me snort laugh so I’m sharing it.
That’s it for now! Big Affiliate Tribe newsletter comin’ tomorrah. See you there. Stay warm <3
