Happy weekend! Comin’ atcha with a few quickie updates, queries, and job listings before we all take off for some much-needed downtime.
Working on these stories now/need pitches:
Reader’s Digest: After-Christmas sales you won’t want to miss (seriously, we’re already in post-holiday workload now OMG). If this isn’t a reminder to pitch ahead, even for digital, I dunno what is. Per the usual, need major .com retailers like Nordstrom, Walmart, Amazon, etc or smaller Skimlinks-ready retailers. Pitch by Monday EOD! bryce@theluxuryspot.com
Family Handyman: Tools you should def buy this Black Friday. Hit me with your hammers, friends. And drills, screwdrivers, caulking guns, and all that home improvement jazz. Yard improvement equipment is okay, too. Again, major .com retailers or affiliate-friendly links. Need by EOD Monday and please describe in depth why it’s such a great Black Friday buy. bryce@theluxuryspot.com

Fir real, evergreen-scented candles are great and this new Grove Co. launch is all about that.
Jobs o’clock:
A friend of mine, Deputy Ed at Parade, let me know she needs an e-comm editor. Is that you? I hope so. Then we can swap thoughts on Amazon things + why shopping roundups and reviews are so delightful.
Parents.com needs a social media editor. Sounds super cute.
Lionsgate Films/Media needs a director of publicity. I’ll bring the popcorn!
Also, before I sign off to bake more challah than I need, I want to say THANK YOU to all the publicists who make my job more pleasant. I had a conversation with a neighbor yesterday about how 99% of the time I love my job, and that’s probably a rare thing. Obviously, these warm feels wouldn’t be possible without the large collection of publicists who make gathering info, links, and happiness easy. A sincere and heartfelt thank you, and I hope you have the nicest weekend.
If you’re wondering, “Hey, does she mean me?” Probably! If I hit up our emails with smilies and hearts and stuff, it’s because I appreciate you, and those are actual smiles in remote-friendship form. Hopefully we’ll all reunite over coffee one day soon.
Till Monday. Here’s a pic of my neighborhood for a virtual breath of fresh air (yes, it’s New York):
